Biojewel handcrafted by an incredible network of artisans, who live in riverside and rubber-tapping communities in six municipalities of Paraná State (Breves, Anajás, São Francisco do Pará, Santarém, Castanhal and Ananindeua), located in the Brazilian Amazon.

The biomaterial that composes the biojewels results from a mixture of latex extracted from the rubber tree (natural rubber) with vegetable fibers, which can be wood residue (sawdust) or powdered açaí seeds. Therefore, it is a biodegradable environmentally friendly material.

The rubber tappers and artisans are trained and authorized by PoloProbio (Brazilian Institution) to use this Social  Technology for the extraction and artisanal processing of rubber.

MAINTENANCE

As it is a natural biomaterial, you should not apply any corrosive products such as alcohol, perfume, moisturizer, etc. You should also avoid submerging it in salt water or pools with chlorine. Always dry them after they get wet.

To keep them beautiful and shiny, you can apply heat protectants for hair that contains silicone in the ingredients whenever you notice they are dry.

If your biojewels show mold due to humidity, simply wipe them with a damp cloth, dry them, and after they are dry apply the hair silicone.

Store in a well-ventilated place, avoiding moisture.
